A hilarious gift for dads and dads at heart, as well as pun and dumb joke lovers Perfect Father's Day gift or new dad gift Add it to the collection of books like 101 So Bad, They're Good Dad Jokes by Elias Hill, Jokes Every Man Should Know (Stuff You Should Know) by Don Steinberg, and Dad Jokes: Terribly Good Dad Jokes by Share The. ![]() The last topic of “fathers” was chosen because for us Father’s Day is in the month of June. Honestly, a lot of the books in the Summer list and the imagination/unplugging list are interchangeable, but that just makes it more awesome right?! In fact, they are so interchangeable that on the printable list I combined those two categories. In the Imagination and unplugging section you will find books that highlight ways we can use our imagination to go on adventures as well as simple activity ideas (such as ways to play with cardboard boxes) that are easy and fun in the summer months and encourage screen-free fun. In the Summer section you will find books that feature “Summer classics” such as watermelon as well as some fun books that feature the great outdoors. This list of Fathers Day Books is great for reading in the week prior to Fathers. I feel there arent enough books with themes like this, so it is needed in the mainstream childhood reading cannon. That is why when I was compiling our list for books about June I decided to go heaviest on the themes of Summer and imagination/unplugging. Every year my kids give their dad a book about how much he is loved. I don’t think it will ever get old for me. Illustrated by Amy Wummer 'Twas the night before Father’s Day, and while dad rode his bike, we raced to the garageMom, me, and Mike.' Discover what all the fun things this family did in order to prepare for Father’s Day in Natasha Wing’s adorable and engaging book. I’m even the one encouraging them to head out to the yard in bare feet because there is something extra wonderful about feeling the grass in-between your toes. I believe that kids grow best with a hearty and regular dose of sunshine. I love spending time outside and encourage my kiddos to get outside to play for at least a few minutes every day. Honestly, June is one of my absolute favorite months of the year. Ah, June! We LOVE June! June is the beginning of endless summer days, outdoor fun, lemonade stands and so much more. ![]()
